403 Forbidden

  • Hello, when I try to activate the license for Generatepress, GB writes me – 403 Forbidden. Your server is not able to communicate with generatepress.com in order to activate your license key.

    I’m trying to solve this without your PHP code. I tried deactivating the Wordfance plugin, but it still doesn’t work.

    It doesn’t make any sense to me.

    Can you think of where the problem might be?

    Thank you

  • Hi there,

    I’m trying to solve this without your PHP code.

    Please try adding the secondary API PHP code and try to activate the license key again.

  • Hello, what secondary API PHP code do you mean? And does that mean it can’t work without additional PHP?

    Before that, I used this

    add_filter( 'pre_http_request', function( $pre, $args, $url ) {
        // Check for GeneratePress URLs
        if ( 'https://generatepress.com' === $url || 'https://generatepress.com/' === $url ) {
            return wp_remote_post(
                'https://api.generatepress.com',
                array(
                    'timeout' => $args['timeout'],
                    'sslverify' => $args['sslverify'],
                    'body' => $args['body'],
                )
            );
        }

        // Check for GenerateBlocks URLs
        if ( 'https://generateblocks.com' === $url || 'https://generateblocks.com/' === $url ) {
            return wp_remote_post(
                'https://api.generateblocks.com',
                array(
                    'timeout' => $args['timeout'],
                    'sslverify' => $args['sslverify'],
                    'body' => $args['body'],
                )
            );
        }

        return $pre;
    }, 10, 3 );

  • Yes, this is the secondary API code, so the license key still can not be activated even with the code?

  • Yes, it works with the code. I was just wondering if there was a way to make it work without the code.

  • It’s a server connection issue, it’s likely your server has been flagged in our system, or your server has some security settings that prevents the smooth connection.

    It’s not something that can be fixed easily, as it involves server configurations, so I suggest keeping the code to ensure a good connection.
