A/B Testing

  • I’d like to do some A/B testing for two versions of the Primary Navigation (Nav-1 and Nav-2). It’s easy to do from the backend, but requires an ADMIN to be present to switch back and forth between the two menus.

Is there a way for A/B testers to toggle back and forth from the front end between Nav-1 and Nac-2?

    Thanks!
    Rick

  • Hi Rick,

No, there isn’t such a way, unless you develop a custom JS solution for that 🙂

  • Thanks Ying.

  • The Nelio plugin might do the trick. You can add a query parameter to the URL for loading a specific version. A menu test is included in the standard settings, and 500 free views should be plenty for this kind of test. The support is fantastic, by the way.

I am, of course, in no way affilitated with the company. I am just a happy user.

  • Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, there’s a dependency on the Gutenberg Block Editor, which I have banned on all my dev sites.

  • For the menu test? I have Gutenberg deactivated on all sites, and Nelio works just fine. But I’ve never tried the menu test.
