ACF Field for Blogpost Intro Text

  • Hi there,

I would like to use ACF to write dynamic blog post intro texts.
I created a field group and tried to select it under dynamic content, but the field group doesn’t appear to get selected.

Can you help on how to make use of ACF?

I added a screenshot of what text I would like to write via ACF fields.

    Thank you!

  • Hi there,

You need to set REST API to TRUE for each of the fields so that GB can access them.

  • Hi Ying!

How do I do that? What is Rest API?

How can I then define a text that should be written via an ACF field?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Thanks Ying,

thanks a lot for your help!

How do I have to fill out the fields in the ACF settings?

I added 2 screenshots to the private info box.

And what would be the next step?
How can I assign ACF fields to particular blocks in GeneratePress?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there,

Looking at the screenshot, the REST API for that field is already active.

Are you working on this in a Block Element or in a regular post or page?

  • Hi Alvind,

yes, but without filling out the fields, I cannot save the settings.
What should I enter in the URL field?

I am creating a Blog Post hero as an Element.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • What should I enter in the URL field?

What URL field are you referring to? I don’t quite understand your question.
