Hello,
Pinterest is offering all our website’s images up to be pinned. They provide the following code for websites that want to prevent this:
<meta name=”pinterest” content=”nopin” />
The instructions are “just paste this code in the <head> section of any page on your site,” but I have a couple of questions:
1. Don’t I want to paste it on ALL pages of my site? and
2. How do I do this? I don’t see an editable <head> section anywhere.Sorry. Total noob here.
Thanks,
Tina -
Hi there,
You can do so via a hook element.
1. Go to appearance > elements, create a new hook element.
2. Paste the code into the content area of the hook element.
3. Set the location toentire site
in the display rule.
4. Set the hook name towp_head

Hi Ying,
Thank you. I followed those instructions and published the hook, but our tester is still seeing the Pinterest invitation and is still able to pin our images.
Is there maybe another way to put that code into our website?
Thanks,
Tina -

Hi Tina,
The instructions by Ying should work.
Can you share the link to the site in question? I’ll check if it’s working.

Hi fernandoazarcon2,
Thank you so much for your post. The instructions were great and they *did* work. I made the mistake of pasting the code as plain text, which changed the quotation marks and rendered the code useless.
Everything is working now, but I really appreciate your willingness to help.
Thank you both so much!
