Add ‘noindex’ to sidebar widget

  • I’m not sure if this is possible, but can I add some sort of ‘noindex’ code to the sidebar widget I have on my site? The reason I want to do this is because right now I have my recent posts (the titles) being displayed in the sidebar and sometimes Google, rather than ranking the actual post that has the title with the keyword I’m targeting, will rank some other post that simply has the title in the sidebar.

  • Hi there,

theres data-nosnippet and X-Robots-Tag meta options which may help:

Unfortunately it’s not one of my areas of knowledge. But I am sure theres some WordPress stack exchange experts that can assist.
