Background Images Disappeared

  • Hi

The site below had background images on nearly every page. They just disappeared on the frontend. But they still appear correctly on the backend.

When I went into the backend of 2 pages:
    – Home
    – Activities & Trips
I didn’t change anything, but I hit the save button and it fixed the issue. I can easily do the same on the other pages, but I am at a loss as to why this happened and how to prevent it in the future.
    Cheers
    Shaun

  • PS – First I tried clearing the cache, but this had no effect

  • Hi Shaun,

Upon inspecting the page where the background image isn’t rendering, I noticed the image URL is still pointing to https://draft4wd.websmall.net/, which seems like your development site.

This is why when you save the page, WordPress automatically updates the URL to match the current site’s domain, and the image displays correctly afterward.

  • It is looking better, but there are still issues:
    – The first paragraphs after the card headings don’t vertically align with each other
    – The button in the third card doesn’t align with the others
    See attached picture
