You previously helped me with this issue in this support ticket – https://generate.support/topic/banner-background-fade/ for page https://marinosp18.sg-host.com/about-us/, but there seems to be a weird WordPress bug that stops saving the Custom HTML when I re-open the page so wondered if there was a way to re-create this fading banner via settings rather than custom HTML?
Also is there a way to make the fade fill the full width of the screen (see this image – https://ibb.co/VKz7jrD) so it looks more like this page but with a purple colour rather than beige – https://marinosp18.sg-host.com/our-work/sponsor-us/?

Hi there,
It’s not custom HTML, but blocks; once you paste the code and exit code mode, those should be saved as blocks.
Which page has the problem again?

Hi Ying, it’s this page – https://marinosp18.sg-host.com/about-us/.
Maybe I’ve misunderstood, the code you previously provided i added to the page via the Custom HTML block, is that not right?
So there are two issues:
1) I’ve pasted in the code you previously provided as a Custom HTML block and this gives me 95% of what I need but whenever I close and re-open the page in WordPress I can no longer see the code and it looks like this – https://ibb.co/TMPWykCQ.
2) The left and right sides of the banner on widescreens do not look right, see https://ibb.co/VKz7jrD.

Hi there,
The block markup Ying provided in the other topic isn’t intended to be placed inside a Custom HTML block. Here’s the correct way to add it: https://cln.sh/QKByp1Ky
