Block editor looks different on two sites

    Hi there,

    GeneratePress (Block editor) looks different on two of my sites. That confuses me.
    Both sites have installed
    · GeneratePress Premium 2.5.5
    · GenerateBlocks Pro 2.5.0
    · WordPress 6.9.1

    Different versions of GP?

    The site on the left I created some years ago, the site on the right some days ago.

    Can anyone solve the puzzle?

    Hi there,

    The site on the left is using GB v1 blocks, and the new site is using GB v2 blocks.

    If you want to enable v2 blocks on the old site, you can go to generateblocks > settings, and untoggle the v1 option. All your new blocks will be v2.

    I didn’t know that updating to v2 leaves old blocks untouched.

    The section ‘Block Transformation to Update Version 1 to Version 2 Blocks’ answered my next question.
