Can I Update My PHP Version to 8.3?

    Hi Generate Team,

    I’m currently using your theme on my WordPress site, and I’ve received a notice in the dashboard saying:

    “Your site is running on an outdated version of PHP (8.0.30). It should be updated to at least 8.3.”

    Before updating the PHP version on my hosting, I wanted to confirm whether your theme and its plugins are fully compatible with PHP 8.3 or the latest stable release.

    Please let me know if it’s safe to proceed with the update, or if any adjustments are needed before doing so.

    Hi Manish,

    Yes, GeneratePress and GP Premium are both fully compatible with PHP 8.3 — you shouldn’t experience any issues after updating. However, if you’ve added any custom PHP functions to your site, make sure they’re compatible with PHP 8.3 to prevent potential errors.

    That said, it’s always best to perform a full site backup before upgrading, just in case something unexpected happens.
