Carousel query problem

  • Hello, I am trying to create the same post design in Carousel query as you can see below on the page, see private information.

The problem is that the effects in Carousel query are not working as they should. Is there any way to create the same design in Carousel?

  • Hi Valerrr.

I am not able to view your submitted URL, I get a This site can't be reached error in the browser.

  • My web hosting reported an outage. Hopefully, it should be working now.

  • If you normal query works as expected, why don’t you try copying the query loop from the Classic query section into the one with the carousel? Here is what you can do:

    1. Copy the query loop from the Classic query section.

    Copy query loop

    2. Remove the existing query loop from the Carousel quer section and paste the previously copied query loop in its place.

    3. Select the Looper block, and toggle Use as Carousel Items from the right.

    Use as Carousel Items

    4. Set display to Default and remove any COLUMN GAP and ROW GAP values.

    5. You might need to select the carousel block, remove SLIDES PER VIEW number and re enter it for the UI to update.

Let me know how it goes.

  • Thank you, but it still doesn’t work properly. For example, the animation – Transition – duration 0.5 – easy in out – doesn’t work. In addition, as you can see in the new video, there is still flickering.

According to AI, the problem may be here –

There is a conflict between the CSS hover transform (translateY -5) on the Post Template and the Splide.js positioning, causing the slide to jitter as the Carousel tries to recalculate its position during the hover state.

  • Hi Valerrr.

Is it possible to have backend access to the site?

Please use the private section of your reply to post them. You can also install the Temporary Login Without Password plugin and send us a login link without using a password. Again, please, use the private area of your reply to send those details.

  • Thank you, I am sending the link.

  • Hi, did you make any changes? Seems to be working as expected now!

  • 1. Compare the smoothness of the animation (Carousel query VS Classic query). You will notice the difference immediately.

    2. I am sending a new video where you can see another problem (Jittering) more clearly. Just move your mouse to the bottom edge of the frame.

  • Strange, I am not seeing what you are seeing. What browser do you use?

  • Google Chrome, but it also shows up in Microsoft Edge and others.

  • Yes, I am trying to recreate it but I can’t. I have removed the global style from the carousel query loop since it’s not needed. Is it still doing it?

  • It still didn’t work. I’m trying a new design without that effect. But now, for a change, I can’t set up Carousel Pagination correctly. 😀

The video is in private information.

Thank you very much for your patience.

  • Hi, you need to set Display to Default, don’t set it to Grid. Select the Loop Item and set Display to Default.

  • Hello, I would also like to know where this gap comes from?

    Thank you

  • The container that the text is inside has some paddings and it’s set to 100% height.
