A button’s dynamic link is set by clicking the link icon, then click the database icon next to it (Dynamic Tags) and selecting Post Permalink from the Dynamic tag dropdown.

It looks like something is conflicting with the dynamic tag. Your setup is correct.
Can you disable all your plugins except GP Premium, GB and GB Pro?

After deactivating the plugin, adding Link Destination = {{post_permalink}} finally worked.

Ok good, which plugin was it that it was causing issues, then? The video doesn’t show it clearly.

This is caused by a plugin – SimpleTOC – Table of Contents Block.
Link Destination – {{post_permalink}} does not work.
However, {{post_title link:post}} works correctly.

I can see the issue that Simple TOC can not recognize
{{post_permalink}}in its TOC.But GB’s dynamic rendering is not affected. In this case, please reach out to the Simple TOC plugin’s support and ask them how to make it work, might just need to change a priority setting in their code, or they may have a filter for that.
