Hi, I want to create a category landing page like the website I have linked to in the private section. How can I do this? Have they used something like a query loop?

Hi there,
You can create a block element – loop template, and add a query block inside, style it, and toggle the Inherit query from template option, so it will load the posts of the category.

Ok, but is it possible to only show about 10 posts per page and the 11th post is loaded on another site?
And where I can find the inherit from … ?

What do you mean loaded on another site?
Check the screenshot for the option:https://app.screencast.com/puICt7FkqwUA6

I have found it 🙂
I mean that each page should only show 10 posts in the query loop and then there should be another page with 10 posts
page 1: 10 posts, page 2: 10 posts 🙂
And is it possible to center the H1 on that category pages?

You can set posts per page to 10 at dashboard > settings >reading.
And is it possible to center the H1 on that category pages?
Yes, you can include the h1 title in the block element – loop template. You can use a GB headline block, and dynamically set it to
archive title
, or use a WP archvie title block. -

Ok and how can I style the h1 from that category pages?

I have used a GB headline block and set it dynamically to title but I can’t the option archive title.

Archive title is available for GB V2 text and headline block:

I have made the latest updates but I don’t have a pro version of Generate Blocks. I have version: Version 2.0.1. But Archive title is no part of it.
-
You might be still using v1 block, go to generateblocks > settings, you can toggle off the v1 option.

Oh thanks that worked. The Archive Title should be an H1 in the end. Is that ok or do I have two h1 titles in the end?
After changing the versions from Generate Blocks… is this effecting older heading blocks?
Greetings Kathrin
-
Yes, archive title should be H1.
You have 2 options:
1. add the archive title to a block element – page hero, and it has the option to disalbe title.
2. still add the archive title to the block element – loop template if that’s easier to manager, then create a block element – page hero with no content in it, just enable the disalbe title option for all archives.
is this effecting older heading blocks?
No, existing v1 block will stay as v2 🙂

At the moment I have set the GB Heading to H1. But now I need another Block Element set to page header and disable the title option for all archives? Am I right?

Hi there,
That is correct. Just toggle “Disable Title” on this element and set the location to “All Archives.”
