Hoping you can help me with this! I looked at other support tickets and can’t find the answer.
I would like to center the logo on my website, and I would also like to remove the author credit under each article title. For the latter, I see it can be done with a plugin but is there any other way?

Yes, this is a theme feature.
You can remove it at customizer > layout > blog > content > single, and uncheck the Display post author box.
