Changing Headline Block Placement on Mobile

  • On one of the sections of my homepage, I’m trying to change the mobile view placement of a headline and text block.

I like where it currently is on desktop, but on mobile, I want to shift both items from below the image to above the image.

I’ve included two screenshots below for reference.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Hi there,

It is possible, but with the current structure of that section, it isn’t achievable as-is. You’ll need to make some adjustments to the layout to allow for reordering the position on mobile.

I can provide some screenshots to guide you through the process from the backend, but it looks like the login link isn’t working—I’m unable to access the login page. Could you please check that and provide an updated link?

  • Ok, that sounds good.

As for the login, I just updated the link. Does it work now?

  • I managed to access the login page, but it requires a 2FA code to complete the login.

  • Is there a different way I can give you access?

  • You can use a plugin like this one so we can login without password:
    https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

But I’m not sure if it can bypass the 2 factor.

  • Is there a way I can disable the 2 factor?

  • I don’t know, it depends on how you set up the 2-factor.

  • I just turned the 2 factor off.

Are you able to login now?

  • I’m not sure which link you should use, so I put two different ones.

  • Yes, I logged in 🙂

The structure doesn’t allow re-ordering the image and the heading as they are not in the same parent on a same level. The easiest option would be adding the heading above the image, and hide it on desktop and tablet, and hide the original heading on mobile.

    1. duplicate the headline block, and drag the newly duplicated headline block to above the image in the same container.

    2. select the newly duplicated headline block, toggle hide on desktop and hide on tablet option:

    3. select the oriiggnal headline block, toggle hide on mobile option:

  • Awesome…that worked perfectly!

    Thank you so much!

One last question…just so I know for future, which site link did you use to login, the one with or without the “token=mysecurelogin”?

  • You are welcome   🙂

    I used the one with /wp-login.php?sgs-token=mysecurelogin 🙂

  • Great, thank you!

  • No Problem 🙂
