color sticky navigation

  • I don’t know what happened, but suddenly I have problems with the color of the navigation and footer. The navigation: when scrolling the background is transparant in stead of white (what I selected in Customizer). The footer: customizer color is green, but you can see it is also transparent. How to solve this?
    https://wageningswijngoed.nl

    And another problem with the layout of. my blog: Normal is sidebar 30% (and that is what I see in customizer). That is also what was the case until now. Suddenly the sidebar is 50%

    Another thing (sorry, but I can’t find the answers in the documentation): If you look at the navigation on mobile phone, the hamburger is invisible for the main menu. The hamburger is white (you can see while scrolling). I can’t find the place where to change this color.

  • Hi there,

    the login provided is not being recognised. Can you confirm ?

  • Sorry, wrong username. I change it.

  • Can you temporarily disable autoptimize ?

  • did it. No difference

  • Hi Lacoco,

    I see. Can you re-disable Autoptimize, and change, re-add and resave your Color settings in the Customizer?

    Keep Autoptimize disabled as well. We’ll check what’s going on.

    If you’re not comfortable doing this on the Live site, kindly start a Staging site for testing.

  • Did what you asked. I can see it changes in wordpress (footer and footer widgets background must bee green). But no change when I look at the front site (I through away history, to avoid cache)

  • For now, you can use some CSS to get your site back to a good condition:

    /* Sticky nav backgrounds */

    #mobile-header, #sticky-navigation {
        background-color: var(--base-3);
    }

    /* Footer Background */

    .site-footer {
        background-color: var(--contrast-2);
    }

    The problem , we would need to disable all plugins to diagnose if there is a conflict occurring as we can’t replicate the issue locally. If you had a staging version of the site, we can test that if you wish.

  • Do you also have a code to make the submenu not transparent any more?

    There are still some problems with the color in text also.

    In the footer, the widget tekst is dark, in stead of white (what I choose).

    And the most important problem is the hamburger (menu) on top of the website on mobile phone.

    The hamburger is invisible as it is. I tried several things to solve this, no succes.

    Any solution?

  • Thanks for your time and patience in this matter!

  • For me it is no problem if you experiment with the live website in late afternoon hours. There is time difference between our countries. Late afternoon in Canada is night in the Netherlands. I presume that not Many people wil look at the website then. Thank you for your help

  • Hi there,

    We would strongly recommend creating a staging site for us to do the testing, as the testing process might mke changes to the site, and we can not do that to your live site.

    Usually your host would offer staging site service, some hosts offers for free, if your there’s a fee to do so , then you can use a free plugin WP staging to create a staging site for free.

    Let me know 🙂

  • I think the problem is the update of Elementor. I have new problems with another website. I just installed the update and my website is a mess … I’ll contact Elementor, let you know.

  • Keep us updated 🙂

  • One solution is:
    With one of my website there is a problem when I choose for the option in Elementor to use te colors and fonts of the theme. When I don’t use this option, the serious problems with the design are reduced to smal things.

    This is unfortunately not the solution for my website http://www.wageningswijngoed.nl

    Looking further

  • So there’s a conflict between GP and Elementor?

    In that case, do you want me to write CSS to address this issue?

    If so, can you let me know the exact colours you want for each element?
