Colour tab missing when using container/buttons in footer.

  • kirstyandadrian2021

    Hi,

I am trying to set the background colour of a container I am using for my footer widgets, but the option is missing.

Also, the colour option is missing when I try and edit a button in the footer.

Do you have any idea why this is and how to fix this?

  • Hi there,

Could you try deactivating all plugins except GP Premium and GenerateBlocks to see if the issue persists?

  • kirstyandadrian2021

    Hi,

I have deactivated all plugins except GP Premium and GenerateBlocks; the problem is still the same.

I might have hit the issue however; the colour tab vanishes when you are on the mobile view, but it is there on the all devices option.

    Is that by design?

    New screencaps below before you.

  • Ah okay, that explains it. The Background color option isn’t available for mobile in GenerateBlocks, and that’s the default behavior. To set a different color for mobile, you’ll need to use CSS.

    Ah!

I found an easier method: I set the colours in desktop mode and then used the “hide-on-desktop” attribute, which did the trick.

As a matter of interest, why disable the ability to edit colours in mobile mode, especially for buttons? I cannot think of any advantage.

    Thanks.

  • Awesome, great to hear that 😊

..why disable the ability to edit colours in mobile mode, especially for buttons? I cannot think of any advantage.

While there are several reasons for this, the main one is to helps prevent unintentional color clashes or readability issues that can occur due to smaller screen sizes. However, we understand that flexibility in design is crucial, and we continuously evaluate feedback from users to improve that.
