I am in the process of building my site (nothing is live), and have a question regarding themes and the Woocommerce plugin.
Let me provide some background:
• About 3 years ago I installed WordPress and Woocommerce, and made some progress before abandoning the project.
• I now re-started the project and have built out a WordPress site using GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks.
• I have successfully created a Child Theme (of GeneratePress) and have done extensive CSS customisation to the Child Theme.
• Along the way I must have deleted any unused themes – so now, when looking at my themes (Appearance > Themes), I only have the Child Theme (active) and the GeneratePress theme.
• I have not really started on setting up the WooCommerce pages (only a bit of testing), but I did update the plugin.
• I am thinking of uninstalling the WooCommerce plugin and re-installing it (before I go ahead and set up my store) – for these reasons:
– there are duplicate pages of the Cart, Checkout, My Account, and Shop pages…which is a bit weird!
– the one page has a shortcode embedded – these seem to be the active, functioning pages with an ID
– the other duplicate page seems to use blocks (which would be my preference over an embedded shortcode)
– I would like a fresh install to ensure that there are no issues with indexing etc.
– I don’t see any possible themed pages available…which makes me think the setup is a bit disrupted.Every time I have watched videos explaining the WooCommerce plugin being installed, they select a theme.
With all the customisation I’ve done on my Child Theme, I don’t want to change themes.
Do you perhaps know if I can re-install WooCommerce without changing to a new theme?I’d appreciate any thoughts on this, thank you in advance!

I have done some more research…and probably answered my own question. so I will mark the topic as resolved.
