Contact form & Smooth Scroll Anchor

  • Hi there,

in the hero section of my client’s website I added a button which should lead to the contact section of the same page. The ladder works, but smooth scroll doesn’t work.
I added the css class “smooth-scroll” to the contact section and activated smooth-scroll in the customizer.

What else do I have to do to make smooth scroll work?
I added the website data to the private information.

    Also:
Which contact for do you recommend to use?
I am open for paid and free contact forms.

    And last not least:
Where does this grey line come from? I set all borders to 0 and cannot find the origin.
Can you help how to get rid of it?

    Thanks in advance!
    K

  • Hi there,

The smooth-scroll class needs to be added to the button, not the container.

We don’t have specific recommendations for form plugins, but for simple contact forms, any form plugin should work fine.

The grey line seems to be coming from the GB Shape. It has a bottom property set to -1px. Try setting that to 0.

  • Thank you Alvind,

    that helped.

Can you help to find the “bottom property” for the shape?
I cannot find it when I click on “shapes”.

    Thanks again!

  • Hi there,

try selecting the Container Block that contains the Shape.
In Spacing set the Margin Bottom to 1px

  • Thanks David,

    finally found it.

  • Glad to hear that!
