Continued Query Loop Editing

  • Hello again,

I sent a follow up response yesterday under the other thread. If you could please help me sort out what might be happening. Also in attempt to handle this a different I imported one of your library patterns it is better because it doesn’t have the white background but I would still like to know how to make each column the same size, i.e. match the smaller ones to the longest one. I would still like to understand why I couldn’t change the background color on the one I built.

    Thank you,
    Dona

  • Hi Dona,

I’m not sure what you mean – are you referring to this topic?: https://generate.support/topic/query-loop-formatting-3/

Is there a particular reason you don’t want to keep your questions isolated to one topic?

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hi there Tom,
I know it’s gotten a little confusing I’m not unwilling to keep things to one topic. It’s just that I’m working as fast as I can and things happen inbetween the time that I ask a question and the time that I get an answer. To help me understand is “Help with query loop formatting” One topic or more than one topic, maybe I’m over generalizing and that’s causing confusion.

Here is my latest request for help. All others can be disregarded. NOTE: I have removed the border around the template columns in the time since my request for help. So, I don’t want that to stop you from helping me understand for my own learning, how do you make column length all the same size, obviously to the largest of the 3.

    Hello –
Here is a link to my home page. https://www.blueridgebirdwatcher.com/

You will see two sets of query loops on my home page because I need help figuring a few things out.

    1) The first set is one I entered manually, the columns have a white background and I cannot figure out how to change that. I have tired the obvious already so those instructions won’t be helpful. I have tested all column components and while I was able to change the background (just for testing) to RED it only showed up at the bottom of the column.

    2) The second set is one from your pattern library, I chose it because it has a clear background. The only issue with this is I would like to understand how to make the columns the same height and control the placement of the content inside the columns. Headers to the top, author details to the bottom etc. any formatting that allows it to look better aligned.

We are trying to launch this new site this week and I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thank you
    Dona
