Controls to scroll through custom posts

Hi there,
I have a custom post type with quite a few entries. They are currently accessed through tiles on an archive page.

I have pagination on the archive template but I’d like to be able to have a Previous/Next button on the custom post template itself as well, so that after users have clicked onto a custom post, they can move to the next or previous custom post without going back to the archive page.

Is this possible? If so, please advise how.
