Hi there,
I have a custom post type with quite a few entries. They are currently accessed through tiles on an archive page.I have pagination on the archive template but I’d like to be able to have a Previous/Next button on the custom post template itself as well, so that after users have clicked onto a custom post, they can move to the next or previous custom post without going back to the archive page.
Is this possible? If so, please advise how.

Yes, you can create a Block Element – Post Navigation and configure it to display on single posts. For more information, you can refer to the documentation:
