Copyright variables only work in lower case but shown in all caps in Customizer

    In Customizer > Layout > Footer, the guide text itemizes the two dynamic variables for copyright dates (to show the copyright symbol and the current year). However, the guide text is in all caps and the variables need to be entered in lower case.

    ETA: Additional CSS edit area also shows all caps.

    Are you saying that you are seeing what I have marked in RED as CAPS?

    Do you have any broad text-transform: uppercase somewhere in your CSS?

    No, but I was experimenting with some uppercase usage in the Customizer.

    Now that I have removed that usage, the issue is gone. <shrug>

    The selector was probably too broad. Where would you like to apply the uppercase transform?

    I was using the Customizer itself, so the changes I made should not have spilled over to the UI.

    I’m chalking this up to momentary results.
