CSS style issues in the child theme

  • Hello,

I just moved all the styles from the WordPress customizer to the “style.css” file of the child theme.

But for some strange reason, some styles don’t work unless I add !important to all the properties.

Others simply don’t work at all.

Here’s a video that shows it better: https://take.ms/g20uM

I have no idea why this is happening. Any suggestions?

PS: I’ve created temporary access and placed it in the private information.

  • Hi there,

The issue arises because you have a global style with the same class name .sticky-cta. It works in the Customizer because any CSS added there has higher specificity and gets applied first.

To resolve this, you can delete the .sticky-cta global styles, as having similar class names with different properties can cause conflicts like this.
