Custom Blog Archive

  • I’ve read a few articles around but it’s just not clicking what I need to do.

I’m trying to replicate the blog archive page structure seen at the link below. It’s pretty basic, three columns, no sidebar. I’d like to override the WordPress core functionality and use a GP/GB template.

However, I can’t conceptually wrap my head around how to do this.

Specifically, what configuration do I need to setup for I don’t use WordPress default settings
How can I create a three column structure using the GP/GB functionality?
How can I ensure the most recent post is first
How do I match the design of each post on the archive page?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  • I suppose another question would be. If it is best to use WordPress core functionality for the blog archive page, how do i achieve the design of each article and insert it into that page?
