Custom fonts on multiple domain sites

  • Dear team of GeneratePress,

I really love the new feature of easily installing custom fonts. But – as I publish sites in a multi lingual country – I normally use one wordpress installation with multiple domains, the use of custom fonts locally installed produces errors with missing ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header permission.

Is there a way to easily fix it (or pass by)?
And: Is there a reason why you do not use a relative path (like /wp-content/uploads/generatepress/fonts/ instead of https://mydomain.com/wp-content/…)? With a relative path we would not experience any cross-domain problems, I guess.

    Best regards
    Thomas

  • Hi there,

Yes, we are aware of this issue as it has been reported by several users. A fix is expected to be included in the next version.

As a temporary workaround, on the new site, go to Customize > Typography, remove the current font, and re-add it. This should regenerate the @font-face CSS and update the font URL.
