I have created and used a few custom patterns, I understand the process and i have used them many times.
Now, when I create a custom pattern it does not appear in my list of patterns and a search returns nothing. I can, however, edit the pattern in /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wp_block
I thought this may be a bug that would be fixed in the latest update, but no?

Do you mean the WP block pattern? If so, it’s a core WP block, we don’t have control over it, unfortunately.
Please reach out to WP’s support to report this bug.
