Custom SVG’s in Icons

  • Hi, I have a svg and a plugin that allows me to upload svg’s, however, I want to put it in the site using the Icon block.

In the footer – https://elleindigo.com – for the social links I’m using Icons, and need a custom one there.
I was hoping the plugin would work, but the Icon block isn’t pulling from Media.

What are some other options that might sort this? (I’d like to keep using the Icons block)

  • Hi there,

If it’s an uploaded SVG image, you need to use an Image block to add it.

Does your SVG contain actual SVG code that can be inserted using HTML? If so, you can add it using the Shape block or the icon setting within the Headline block.

  • Thanks! Your comment made me realize that since I can upload the svg to media I can get the source code from it and use that 🙂

I wouldn’t have thought of it that way otherwise! All working now 🙂

  • Glad to hear that! 🙂
