Customiser > select font – google font – many missing from dropbown

  • I though the first time it happened it was just me – but I am just setting up another site and want to add Readex Pro as the font – but its not listed within the customiser > typography > choose font, even though its a Google Font and I have used it before?

I know that there is a newer way of adding our own fonts etc and I was not sure if I had missed something?

    Thanks
    Sarah

  • Hi there,

We are using Google API to pull the font list, but it looks like this font is not in the list, as it’s a font specifically for the Arabic language.

You will need to use the old way to install it manually; here’s the guide:
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/

  • Thank you Ying – and yes I did spot that its now showing as arabic – not sure it did before – anyway I had not realised it was Google Fonts API I will check that before trying to pick a font next time – thank you I can add it manually

  • Thanks for your understanding and you are very welcome!
