Customizer does not change primary button color

  • Hi,

im running the affinity theme. Changing the color in customizer -> Color -> Button to accent-3 does not change the color of the buttons. primary and secondary buttons still use accent and accent-2.

How/where can i change this globally without changing it on each and every button?

    Thanks
    Sebastian

  • Hi Sebastian,

In the Affinity site, the buttons are styled through Global Colors, not the Customizer’s Button setting.

Go to Customizer → Colors → Global Colors and edit Accent, Accent 2, Accent 3 to the colors you want. The buttons pull from those tokens automatically (Primary = Accent, Secondary = Accent 2).

If you prefer, you can manage button styles via GenerateBlocks Pro:

    • In the editor, select any button. In the sidebar, go to Global Style → Add New, name your style.
    • Set Text Color, Background Color, Hover Colors, etc. Apply the style to all button blocks you want and Save.

Global Styles let you override default styles and apply consistent design across the site.

That way you won’t need to edit each button individually.
