I use GeneratePress Premium for a multisite at my school.
Lately a bunch of warnings has appeared in the Customizer:
“This page is using a Site Header Element. Some of the options below may not apply”
“This page is using a Sidebar Element. Some of the options below may not apply”
And so on… See image below.
The module Element is not activated. How can I get rid of these messages?

Hi there,
These are not warnings, just notifications.
It indicates that you are using those elements, so some of the customizer options won’t work on certain parts of your site, eg. the site header, sidebar, site footer, post meta and page hero, etc.
You should not need to do anything, it’s expected behaviour.

Hi,
thank you for your reply – but i am not using those elements. The module Elements is not active, the module Disable elements is active (makes no difference).
If I had used some these elements I understand some notifications. But I don’t, and I (and my students) get nine of them everytime I (we) open Customizer.
So, please advise.

Can you provide an admin login so I can see the issue in the backend?

Chiming in as these warning are unhelpful. Could be more helpful if we could hide/minimize them.
Also, if there are multiple they could be in one warning i.e ” This is page is using the following elements: Site Header Element, Sidebar Element […]. Some of the options below may not apply.”

Your site is using GP Premium 2.0.3, but the current version is 2.5.2.
It’s way too old, can you update the plugin first?
-
I have updated the plugin, and yes, that solved the problem. The notifications are now gone.
Didn’t know it was outdated.
Thank you for your patience.//Erik
