Hi,
I’m using FluentCart as my shop plugin together with FluentCommunity, where all WordPress pages are displayed within the FluentCommunity layout by assigning the plugin theme in the page editor.
However, this doesn’t apply to dynamic pages such as single product views from FluentCart.
The FluentCart support team suggested using the theme editor/design options as shown in the attached screen video.
Unfortunately, I don’t see these options in my editor — the templates or shop pages simply don’t appear there (see screenshot).
Could you please advise what I can do to enable or access these template options?
Thanks and kind regards,
Eric -

Hi there,
The Site Editor option is only available for Block Themes. GeneratePress is a Classic Theme, so that option isn’t available.
Do they have an alternative for Classic Themes? I believe they should, as Classic Themes are still widely used.

Hi,
Oh, I don’t understand.
I bought the ONE package from you and would like to have the full functions. Can I use elements or something like that with your ONE package, to work with the single product templates? Is there a way available?
Thanks, kind regards

No, GP can not override the product template, unfortunately!
Can you check with the plugin do they support the classic theme?

Hi. I’ve been playing around with it and brought this to their attention. I’ve been waiting for more information, but the following is what they said on that subject:
—paste—
GeneratePress / Generate Blocks compatibility: At this time, full integration with GeneratePress and Generate Blocks is not available. This means that while some elements like product title and image can be pulled into custom loops, other components such as price and buttons may not function as expected when using our blocks inside GB loop blocks or vice versa.
—end—I’m pushing them (gently) on this as I made clear that it’s a dealbreaker. I hope this matter will be resolved quickly because it looks like this plugin has good potential. I’ll let you know if I hear back from them with more information.
Specifically Ying they say the plugin is for ‘modern’ block-based themes only. 😉

Fluent cart got back to me, and this is what they said:

Yes, GeneratePress/GenerateBlocks support is on our roadmap, and while we can’t provide an exact ETA yet, it’s something our team is actively planning for future updates.
—end—I like the plugin, and they are developing it quickly, so I’ll wait. In the meantime, it’s workable using CSS and probably hooks & filters to override the templates.
One idea I had was to use the 2025 theme to edit the FluentCart templates and then switch back to GeneratePress. I’m not sure if this will work.
Lastly, I’ve found that by wrapping their templates with a GB container block using GP Elements, I’m able to gain a measure of control—that, combined with CSS, is what I’ll be rolling with. If anybody has additional insights into how to edit the block-theme-based templates while retaining GP, please let me know.
Thanks,

Hi Tom,
Thanks for sharing the info with all GP users. I’m glad that the intergration with GP is on their road map 🙂
