Display three ACF fields (Post object) as Related Posts

    Hi,
    I have made a ACF Field Group with three Post Object fields inside.

    The fields are displayed in the backend of each Post in WordPress. Here I can pick any Post for each Post Object Field.

    I have not been able to get the three Post Objects Fields to display on the frontend of a post.

    We want them to be a way to let editors themselves pick three posts as Related Posts below the content of a Post.

    I can’t get GB Pro’s Dynamic Data option to display the posts.

    I am using a Query Block, but I have not been able to get the right solution for this.

    I can provide you with screenshots, URL and / or an access to the website in question if you want it.

    Hello,

    1. Are you using v1 or v2 blocks?
    2. Are you displaying the related posts through an element on single posts?

    Hi George,

    I am using the Version 2.6.0-beta.2 of Generate Blocks Pro, but there is no option to toggle between V1 and V2 blocks in the settings.

    I have now reverted back to Version 2.5.0 of Generateblocks Pro, but the toggle switch is still missing.

    Yes, I am indeed trying to display the related posts through an element on single posts using a post template built with Generateblocks Pro.

    Hi there,

    If you don’t see the Use Version 1 Blocks toggle, that means you’re already using V2 blocks.

    If you have GenerateBlocks Pro, you can configure the Query block in your Single Post Template like this:

    1. Set the Query Type to Post Meta.
    2. In the Meta Key field, enter the name of your Post Object field.

    This will automatically output the posts selected in that Post Object field.

    Just make sure the Post Object field’s Return Value is set to Post Object.

    Can you try using the relationship field instead of the post object field?

    You are a gem! That did it. I didn’t realize that changing it to a Relationship field would do the trick.
