I want to duplicate a container in GenerateBlocks 2.0. The duplicated container should have a different background color. However, when I change the background color in the duplicated container, the color also changes in the original container. How can I prevent this?

Hi there,
Did you copy/paste instead of duplicating?
Make sure you duplicate it.

Hi, thanks for the hint. It’s the same behavior whether I copy and paste or duplicate. When the properties of the copy are changed, the original changes as well. But I want to have different properties.
You can see the behavior here: https://youtu.be/ayI8dvpM1Ls

It’s not normal behaviour, when you duplicate the container, the new container should have a new class.
Can you disable all other plugins to eliminate plugin conflicts?

Thanks for your reply. I’ve deactivated all other plugins, but the error persists. I just found out it’s caused by the theme. I’m using Twenty Twenty-Five — in Twenty Twenty-Four, a unique class is assigned to each duplicate. Everything works as expected there

Hum.. I just tested it in twenty twenty-five theme, duplicated new blocks have a different class as it should be.
So I’m not sure if it’s a twenty twenty-five theme issue.

I’ve been running into this issue lately. When I duplicate a block styling is still tied to the original block. I’m having to go back and duplicate the block again and deleted the original.
