dynamic featured image in header element with title

  • I was creating a header element that i want the featured image to show behind a gradient overlay with the page title on top of that. Ive created the dynamic title and set the featured image to be a dynamic background on the container but the image does not show up?
and i dont know how to apply a darkened opaque grey overlay if that makes sense to make the featured image darker so the title text shows more clearly.

    thanks!

  • Hi there,

The featured image url is empty, can you make sure a featured image is set for the page?

If so, can you provide an admin login for me to check the backend setup?

    Let me know 🙂

  • thanks! yes a featured image is set (see screenshot link attached )

  • Hi there,

The featured image isn’t showing up because the Image Key in the dynamic tag is currently set to alt — it should be set to url for the image to display correctly.

To add a gray overlay, select the container and add another background type (Overlay) under the Backgrounds panel. Then, choose a gray color and reduce its opacity so it appears semi-transparent on the frontend instead of solid.

  • oh shoot ok thanks,
now how to i prevent the overlay from greying out the title text as well?

  • It shouldn’t affect the title text. Can you try changing the text color to a brighter one?

  • yea you are right im not sure what i was doing! thanks

  • No problem! 🙂
