Hi,
I need to make a choice for my Archives Element (Block – Content Template), if I should use for showing the featured images of blog or pages either1.
a dynamic image, please seeelement settings https://snipboard.io/xJbjtl.jpg
browser test page https://snipboard.io/tyjvsR.jpgpro: There is no empty space if there is no featured image
con: I can’t set round corners to top left and top right of the image (or can this be done via CSS?)
2.
an image block with dynamic data enabled, please seeelement settings https://snipboard.io/eLgVkI.jpg
browser test page https://snipboard.io/12uhYy.jpgpro: I can set round corners to top left and top right of the image
con: There is empty space if there is no featured image (“remove block if link is empty” is toggled but not working – FYI: this feature worked on my Home page for the Aktuelles Blog section, but still worked when toggled off)
Could you please recommend if I should use option 1. or 2., if the cons cn be solved and what are other pro’s and con’s?
Please see link in the private information window.
I have currently set 1. in the published element for the search results page to test. Thanks!

Hi there,
either method is ok.
I would recommend #2 as it is the newer method. And has more styling controls. Are you still having any issues with this method ?

Ok thanks I will use #2.
I have now set #2 in the published element for the search results page to test.
The issue still persists: there is empty space if there is no featured image (“remove block if link is empty” is toggled but not working.
(As I mentioned above, I have this option also toggled on for a section the Home page and it works there but toggle off doesn’t work on that page.)
Please see link below for the Search Result Page.
Thanks.

The Image Block is inside its own Container Block, select that Container and in Sizing remove the Min Height value.

That solved the issue. Thanks!

Glad to hear that
