Hi!
I just added “Social Icons” to my blog posts but I can’t figure out how to create dynamic links so that people can share the current post. I use twitter (X), facebook and pinterest buttons.
Thanks!

Hi there,
the core Social Icons block is simply a set of links to your social sites.
It won’t do social sharing, for that you would require a plugin.A couple of popular plugins are:

Alright, thanks for the info. I was hoping there would be a way to avoid plugins.

Hi there, I was also looking for the same solution and came upon this: https://wpframer.com/add-social-sharing-buttons-without-plugin/
It works. Put it inside Generate Press Elements > Hook.
And, you can customize where the buttons will appear by choosing where to insert the hook (example: generate_before_footer). Also, select the display rules location to: Posts > All Posts.
*You may need to adjust the CSS a bit to taste.

Alright, thanks for the tip! I’ll go through it and see what it can do 🙂
