Element Grid Query Loop

  • Hi GP,

I’ve been using ACF to build “archive” pages using the element since I need to add specific meta data. I saw that you recently re-tooled the Query Loop with more options, and I thought I’d like my design(s) to be 2 columns or a magazine style grid.

But when I try creating a grid it brings in just the standard meta data. ie: featured img date, title, etc. But none of my custom stuff. It’s the same when i try building a Q/grid on a simple page and not in an element.

Am I missing a step or is a 2 column layout out of the question?

    Hopefully this makes sense.

  • Hi there,

You need to manually add the custom fields data into the query loop for it to show up. I’m assuming the two-column grid block you’re referring to is the layout option that appears when you add the Query block?

Right. I’ll give it a try.

Update: Got it. Thanks… No different than the 1st one I built it’s been so long I just forgot.

  • No problem, glad to hear that! 🙂
