Expert used Elementor on site without consent

  • I have basic WP skills but needed expert help and hired a person to alphabetize previously published pages on my site. I requested that he NOT use Elementor as I am not familiar with it. He did not know how to alphabetize, but did place the entire alphabet at the start of my pages. From what I can tell, it is something that edits the entire site, but I can’t find anything with an alphabet. I am adding a link to this hoping that somebody could help me get rid of the ridiculous alphabet or what the addition of this might be called in Elementor.
I fired the expert BTW. ( I had already alphabetized this page after hours of manual work. I was guided on how to do it with new pages and the query loop, but most of my pages have been published already) TIA

  • Hi there,

It’s coming from a plugin called Alphabetic Pagination:

Let me know if this helps 🙂

  • Thanks! Should this plugin not just alphabetize what is on a page? I was not sure why that alphabet took up an entire column – or so it seemed. What I wanted is to alphabetize the pages that appeared in the grid.

  • Hi there,

we’re not familiar with that plugin, but I found its repo page:

    https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/alphabetic-pagination/

Reading that; it looks as though it would if a) its correctly configured and b) the page its working on is an archive page. And the URL you provided is NOT an archive page. So I am unsure it would work for you.

  • Thanks, David. The designer added it and I could figure out how it works.

  • Glad to hear that
