Favicon not showing up on Google SERP

    For some reason the Favicon for my site isn’t showing up in the Google SERP. I have tried clearing my cache, but still no luck.

    I have added the favicon in the Theme > Customize > site identity.

    Is there anything else I need to do to get the Favicon to show up in Google SERP?

    Hi there,

    i can see the favicon in the browser tab, which means the favicon is ok.
    And it may just take a while for Google to update the SERPs to show it.

    Was the favicon added / checked recently ?

    Hey David,

    I added the Favicon about 3 weeks ago and haven’t changed it at all.

    Are there any other potential reasons why it wouldn’t show up or Google just hasn’t updated it?

    Since the favicon is a WP core feature, I would recommend Googling “wordpress favicon not showing in google search” to see lots of related articles and discussions.
