Hi,
I just went public with my website and got the message from a friend that the site displays far too big on firefox mobile, perfect on chrome mobile.
Is this a bug?
Do I need to change settings?

Hello,
I’ve just tried it on my Android phone and it looks fine. Which device does your friend have? Can he send you a screenshot?

I made both screenshots with my Samsung S24+,

Hi Torsten,
Thanks for the screenshots — they actually point away from a bug. Notice that in both browsers the text wraps at exactly the same points (BLACK / FLAMINGO breaks identically, “ART. CULTURE. RESEARCH.” the same). If the page layout itself were rendering wider in Firefox, those line breaks would differ. Same breaks but larger text means the font size is being scaled up, not the layout.
That’s almost always a per-browser device setting rather than something on the site. Firefox for Android has its own font-scaling option that’s independent of Chrome, which is why it shows up in one browser but not the other on the same phone — and why we can’t reproduce it on our end.
Can you check this in Firefox on your S24+:
Settings → Accessibility → Font Size
If it’s turned up there, lowering it back to default should make Firefox match Chrome. It would also help to confirm: if you pinch-zoom out, or toggle that setting off, does it then look correct?
