Flex child order option missing from Global Styles controls?

  • eastriverstudio

I searched the forum but couldn’t find a related answer, so I apologise if this has been asked/highlighted before now. I’ve been working on a grid type layout which has some global styles and I need alternating designs for even/odd grid items which is not a problem and I’ve created some nested selectors for this purpose.

However whilst doing this though it occurred to me the flex child option order is missing from the global styles control panel, so when creating nested selectors we can’t use that to change the order of a child item as we would do when using the local block styles. Has this been omitted from the controls intentionally or am I missing something in the global styles settings area?

    Thanks

  • Hi there,

theres a few missing options in the global style such as the Order property , and those will be added in future updates. With Grid options ( inc. Order property ) at the top of the list.
    Apologies for any confusion.

  • Any updates on this? I just came across this use case.

It seems a bit silly to have Global Styles and then resort to custom CSS to handle these cases. It feels like a recipe for code being scattered all over the place, which can be hard to maintain.

  • We are super close to releasing GB 2.0 and GB Pro 2.0 – which will address those missing style properties and a lot more. So watch this space, we hope to have an alpha release within the next month.
