Footer Not Showing in GB

  • Hello,

I had a default generatepress footer (using legacy widgets) and I tried creating a custom footer in GB but it won’t show up to my test post.

I have the Display set correctly to my target post. I tried using Element Type > Site Footer, and I also tried Hooks like Footer, Before_Footer etc. but it won’t show up. I cleared wp cache and server cache.

I also created a separate layout element to disable footer for the target post.

The default footer is removed successfully, but the new footer still won’t show up.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Hi there,

I also created a separate layout element to disable footer for the target post.

If the default footer is gone, the footer element won’t show. So disable that layout element.

Set the element type to site footer.

Can you link me to the page with the layout element disalbed?

  • I see. I noticed the original layout element had the footer disabled. So now the new footer is showing, but the default footer is still below it. How do I remove default footer but keep new one? I added the URL in private.

  • I’m not seeing the footer, can you clear cache?

  • Just cleared site and server cache. The default footer is the black one.

  • Now go to customizer > layout > footer, and set footer widgets to 0.

  • Okay… that worked, thank you.

  • No Problem 🙂
