Formatting Icons in GB 2

  • So, I have been just copying the GB Header block to get around this issue, but I am building a new website and I guess I need to understand how to manage this in GB 2.0

I see where I can add a custom svg with code in the Text or Header block.
I can put the icon on top of my header/text setting using the layout to Inline grid / and adding row space to separate from the text

I select the Icon in the selector area, and adjust the color and size no problem.

My question is, is this the correct process?

Am I missing an easier route?

  • Hi there.

Best method for inserting text with an icon is to insert a text block, then insert the icon from the icon library. This will create an Inline Flex layout by default. You can them set the ICON LOCATION to Before or After the text and adjust the COLUMN GAP value for the spacing between the text and the icon. If you want the icon to appear at the top, set FLEX LAYOUT to Column and adjust the ROW GAP value accordingly. Finally, to have the icon at the bottom of the text, set FLEX DIRECTION to Column Reverse.
