Full width container -> horizontal scroll-bar

  • On the website I work on have a full-width container block (to have a full-width background-color), with another container block (default width) in it.
Now I see that in the Chromium browser I get a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom.

I think the full width container is the cause, do you have a solution for this issue?

Working with GP Premium and GB.
    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

Yes, the WP align full width option does create horizontal scroll issue.

To have a full-width layout, we would recommend:

    1. Set the content container to full width, you can do so via a layout element (mass operation) or the layout metabox.

    2. Now every container you added to the page is full width by default, you can remove the align full option, and set the alignment to default.

  • Thank you Ying, I’ll have a look at the solution.

Since you say this is a WP issue do you think WP will solve this with an update?

  • Solved it by following the 2 steps, thanks.

  • Glad to hear that 🙂
