    Hi Guys

    I can see the changelog for GenerateBlocks 2.3.0 has been published with a security update but I can’t see that the plugin as available, can you advise please?

    I can see the plugin is published in the repository but the sites are not seeing it.

    Hi there,

    This is a part of the WordPress “Protect the Shire” announcement: https://wordpress.org/news/2026/06/pts/

    After pushing an update to WordPress.org, we must wait ~24 hours until it shows up as a one-click update in your Dashboard. However, you can download the .zip from WordPress.org right away.

    I’m hoping they improve this soon, as the post specifically says this is for auto-updates only, which isn’t actually the case.

    For now, you can either wait until tomorrow for the update to show in your Dashboard, or download the 2.3.0 .zip file and update manually on your website.

    Hi Tom

    I’ve actually seen this with a couple of other plugins come to think of it.

    Whilst it’s coming from a good place it’s actually pretty annoying because actual security fixes (like this one) are not being applied which in turn can generate problems of their own.

    I actually did what you suggested earlier, it’s just a bit more long winded.
