GenerateBlocks access for custom user role?

  • Hello,

Our parent company is making some changes where they are not letting us have full admin access anymore for security reasons on our site.

They made a custom role for us called Advanced Editor. They have added some capabilities back such as with accessing Bricks but we don’t have access to GenerateBlocks; I dont see the custom patterns I made in the Gutenberg nor the Generate area on the right in gutenberg. With this new role we don’t see GenerateBlock settings in the backend of the admin on the left bar.

The IT team of our parent company wanted me to reach out and ask if there is a way to add the role capability for access these GenerateBlock settings, on the new user role. Do you offer a filter or something to add this back to a role?

    Thank you

    Kevin

  • Hi there,

GB is a standard block plugin; WP defines the user role access.

I would suggest checking user role plugins to see if that can enable block plugins for your user role.

  • thank you for the supply. Out parent company wont allow us to use another plugin so we must do it with code somehow.

  • Unfortunately, this is not something we can control; it has to be done on the user role end.
