Global Typography Settings and Textblocks

  • Hi all,

I have a problem with my site. I want to generally use one font and size for all “regular” text on all pages. I have set e.g. “Helvetica / 100% ” in the Typography settings for Base -> Body in the Customize menu and also define the text colour for content -> Text.

But now when I edit a textblock on a page the colour of both text and background is shown as transparent (although the text is visibly black on the page) and, what’s my main issue, in the typography menu nothing is marked. If I choose one of the sizes (S – XL) none of them matches the standard I set. As I can’t uncheck this selection, I have no way to back to the standard size once I have clicked on one of these selections.

Is there any way to kind of synchronize this?

  • Hi there,

can you share a link to where I can see the issue ?

  • Hi David,

I have sent you a link in the “Private information” tab.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • OK,
So the font size, if you want to reset it.

    1. select the text block
    2. select the Custom Size option, see here:

    3. in the Size Custom field – DELETE the value:

This will remove the custom font size

Its a terrible UI from WordPress

  • Thanks for your help 🙂

    That’s a strange UI indeed.

  • Glad to be of help!
