Hello, I have a special issue with GP hook-elements on a new server of my webspace hoster. The new servers are super fast, but/and have a quite restrictive firewall. This is probably causing the error message in the hook element “Unable to execute PHP as DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT is defined.”. Disallow_file_edit is of course not activated, but obviously the hook element is blocked (doesn’t matter if or what code is in it). The hoster does not (yet) have a solution for this. Therefore my question to you: Can you recognise from your side why the GP hook element is blocked? Or is there an alternative to inject the PHP code in defined archives and in a defined hook (woocommerce_before_shop_loop_item_title)? I attached the Link to a test-installation for you.
Thank you for your kind support.

Hi there,
GeneratePress will disable PHP execution if DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT is defined anywhere, even if it’s set to
false
. You will need to ask the hosting support to completely remove this line to enable PHP code execution in the Hook Element. -

Thank you, Alvind! I will contact the Hoster and send him your reply for further information.
