I will be working with a couple graphic designers who will be helping build pages in GP themes. I want to give them some GP training videos to help get them up to speed with GP. Neither have WP experience.
What would be the best GP training videos for me to have them watch?
Thank you.

Hello
Since your designers are new to WordPress itself, I’d suggest starting with WordPress fundamentals before jumping into GP — otherwise the GP tutorials will assume knowledge they don’t have yet. The free courses at learn.wordpress.org cover the admin, block editor, and media library basics.
Once they’re comfortable there, the GeneratePress YouTube channel is the main training resource — Tom’s videos walk through the Customizer, Elements, and starter sites directly from the source.
For designers specifically, I’d prioritize in this order:
- Customizer basics (colors, typography, layout controls)
- The block editor workflow for building pages
- GenerateBlocks fundamentals + Global Styles
- GP Elements (Block Elements especially, for reusable sections)
One thing worth flagging for them: GP is intentionally minimal, so most of the visual/design work happens in GenerateBlocks rather than in GP itself. GB tutorials will likely be more immediately useful to them once they’re past the WordPress orientation.
Our documentation at docs.generatepress.com and docs.generateblocks.com is also a good reference to keep open while they’re building.
