Grid configuration issue

  • Hi all and happy new year!

I am having trouble determining why my grid layout of a parent comment is different than that of the replies. It comes down to certain items in the parent comments not being in the same grid containers as that of the child replies.

I want the parent comments to align like the child replies (where admin label is to the left of the name etc.) but because the items in the parent comment don’t live in the same grid container, I can’t adjust them without messing everything else up. This may be the plugin causing this but this is the only place I’ve had this issue so I thought I’d pick your highly advanced knowledge.

  • Hi there,

The parent comments have a different HTML structure than the child ones.

So it’s quite tricky to achieve what you want, I would recommend checking with the plugin’s support.

  • Thanks Ying. I have a love/hate relationship with that plugin so I’ll hit them up. Otherwise, I may just settle with some tacky negative margins to get things ballpark.

  • I hope they can help!
