Hi,
I use two Gutenberg blocks as patterns. For some reason, the modifications brought to their original templates cannot be saved anymore.
Thanks for your help,
Philippe

To be more specific, they are saved but do not appear with their new version on the frontend. I emptied the website’s cache and the browser’s history. No change. This occurs on any browser.

Hi Philippe,
Are you editing the pattern in WP’s pattern editor or GB’s pattern editor?
And do you have GB Pro on your site?
I would recommend disabling all plugins to see if there’s a plugin conflict.

Hi Ying,
I have GB, not GB Pro. How to tell the difference when using WP or GB pattern editor?
I’ll do a check for plugin conflicts and let you know.
Thanks,
Philippe

Hi Philippe,
You can distinguish them this way:
WordPress Patterns are accessed from Appearance > Design, using WordPress’s native pattern editor interface.
GB Patterns are available only if you have GB Pro installed and are managed directly within GenerateBlocks > Local Patterns.
If you don’t have GB Pro active, then you’re definitely using the WordPress Pattern editor.
Let us know how the plugin conflict testing goes!

Hi,
And now… it works! I haven’t done a thing.
Is there a plausible reason why the changes saved in Gutenberg patterns have taken 24 hours to show on the frontend?

If you do not have GB Pro, then you are using WP’s pattern, as GB’s pattern is a pro feature.
Glad it is working now.
Since the issue is related to WP’s feature, I’m not sure what the cause is, unfortunately!
Maybe check with WP’s support.
